Welcome to ProKey Mobile LLC (“ProKey Mobile,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By requesting a quote, booking an appointment, or utilizing our mobile automotive locksmith and programming services, you (“Customer,” “you”) agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service.
1. Scope of Services
ProKey Mobile provides on-site automotive key replacement, key fob programming, lockout assistance, and diagnostic services. We specialize in modern vehicle systems, including CAN FD protocols for 2021+ GM and Ford vehicles.
2. Proof of Ownership & Authorization
To comply with Indiana state laws and security best practices:
• Verification: You must provide a valid government-issued photo ID and proof of vehicle ownership (Registration or Title) before any service is performed.
• Authorization: You represent that you have the legal authority to request service for the vehicle in question. ProKey Mobile reserves the right to refuse service if ownership cannot be verified.
3. Pricing, Quotes, and Payment
• Estimates: All quotes provided over the phone, text, or email are estimates based on the information provided (Year, Make, Model, and Key Type). Final pricing may adjust if the vehicle has aftermarket modifications or underlying electronic issues.
• Payment: Payment is due in full immediately upon completion of the service. We accept [Credit/Debit via Square/Helcim, Cash, etc.].
• Non-Refundable Services: Once a key is cut or a programming sequence is successfully initiated, the service is non-refundable.
4. Mobile Service & Travel Fees
• Service Area: Our primary service area is a 30-mile radius of North Vernon, IN (including Seymour and Columbus).
• Travel Fees: Services requested outside our primary radius may incur a non-refundable travel fee, which will be disclosed at the time of booking.
• Failed Service Fee: If we arrive on-site and the service cannot be performed due to circumstances outside our control (e.g., incorrect vehicle info provided, mechanical failure of the vehicle, or the customer is not present), a Service Call Fee will be charged.
5. Programming & Liability Disclaimer
• Vehicle Condition: You acknowledge that automotive programming involves interacting with the vehicle's On-Board Diagnostics (OBD-II) and Electronic Control Units (ECU). ProKey Mobile is not responsible for pre-existing electrical issues, low battery voltage, or "bricked" modules caused by faulty vehicle hardware.
• Power Stability: We utilize professional-grade power stabilizers (NOCO/Schumacher) to mitigate risks during programming; however, the customer assumes all risk associated with the vehicle’s existing electronic health.
• Aftermarket Parts: We do not guarantee the performance of key fobs or hardware provided by the customer.
6. Warranty & Returns
• Workmanship: We provide a 30 day warranty on the functionality of keys and fobs supplied by ProKey Mobile.
• Exclusions: This warranty does not cover physical damage, water damage, or battery depletion caused by the user after the time of sale.
7. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made at least [24 hours] prior to the scheduled appointment. Repeated "No-Shows" may result in a requirement for a non-refundable deposit for future bookings.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana. Any disputes arising from our services shall be handled in the jurisdiction of Jennings County, Indiana.
